Prepare Photos for Pixnub with Snapizzi

Export Organized Photos and Subject Data with Snapizzi Bundles for Use in Pixnub

Snapizzi prepares the subject data and selected photographs that Pixnub uses to create composites, memory mates, and other personalized products.

Start by importing your Pixnub-compatible CSV into a Snapizzi Data Project. Photograph each subject’s Camera Card before their portraits, then upload the images for processing. Check the matches and select the portrait you want to export for each subject.

Next, request a Snapizzi Bundle containing the selected images and a CSV manifest. Check the exported filenames and data before using them in Pixnub. This guide covers the CSV-based Sports Photo Automation workflow; requirements can differ for other Pixnub products.

For the broader benefits and workflow overview, see our article on how to Spend Less Time Preparing Photos for Pixnub.

Step 1 — Prepare Your Pixnub CSV

  • Ensure your CSV is correctly formatted using Pixnub’s instructions.

  • You don’t need to change column headers or structure for Snapizzi—just use the file exactly as Pixnub’s guide specifies.

Step 2 — Create Your Snapizzi Project

  1. In Snapizzi, create a new Data Project.

    1. Upload your Pixnub CSV file to the project and follow the steps to get your camera cards.

    2. Photograph your project using the camera cards, then upload the images to Snapizzi for processing.

    3. If you upload more than one image per subject, use Snapizzi Stars (or apply star ratings in your photo software before upload) to choose the image you want Pixnub to use.

      • Snapizzi will automatically select the highest-rated image for export.

      • You only need to rate one photo per subject. If one image has a star and the others are unrated, that image will be chosen. If multiple are rated, the highest rating (up to 5) will be used.

      • If no stars are applied and multiple subject images are uploaded, Snapizzi will select the first image in the subject’s series.

💡 Note: If you only upload one image per subject, star ratings are not necessary.

Step 3 — Export Data for Import to Pixnub

When creating your Bundle, use the settings below:

  1. Begin by ticking the "Bypass fields – use all subject data in manifest" box. This ensures all CSV fields from your uploaded CSV are included in the manifest.

Key Options Explained:

  • Include manifest: Must be checked. This generates the CSV file used by Pixnub.

  • Include all photos: Leave unchecked for this single-portrait workflow. Also set Include count to 1 to export one selected image per subject.

  • Don’t resize photos: Leave unchecked if you want resized photos based on the Resize setting.

  • Only primary photos: Check this for the single-subject portrait export. Group photos and shared or multi-card series are excluded. If your Pixnub template uses a separate team photo or logo, prepare those files and their references according to Pixnub’s instructions.

  • Include count: Set to 1 so that only a single subject image is included per subject.

  • Resize: Optional. Set the maximum long-edge size in pixels.

  • Organize Subject Folders By: The default is No Folders. To organize the export into folders, select the CSV column you want to group by, such as Team or Class. The available options depend on the columns in your uploaded CSV. Tick "Use one folder" to put all subjects in one folder for their respective groups.

  • Rename Subject Photos: Controls whether subject images are renamed in the bundle. Choose Don’t Rename to use the original filenames.

2. Click Get Bundle to export the selected images and manifest.csv. Before importing into Pixnub, verify that the SPA column contains the correct image filename for each subject, including the file extension. Each entry must exactly match its exported image file. Keep the fields required by your Pixnub template and remove only columns you know are unnecessary.

Bundles will be exported as one or more standard ZIP files with a maximum size of 500MB. Depending on the project size, this process could take several hours to complete. We'll email you when the export is complete and ready for download. Once generated, Bundle files will be kept for 72 hours. However, you can generate as many versions as needed.

You can also find the download link to the Bundle file (and any other project assets) in your project Activity Log.

Check a Small Sample First

Use the Bundle Dry Run option to review the CSV before requesting the full image export. Check the subject data and filenames, then test a small set of exported images and data in Pixnub before processing the entire job. Confirm the correct portraits, names, team details and any additional images appear in the finished products.
